Corporate Social Responsibility
As a corporate citizen, we understand that our vision will endure generations and so we have taken up the responsibility to bridge the literacy and digital divide and foster lifelong learning and hands-on education for children and youth in rural communities and other economically disadvantaged sectors in the societies we operate in. We do this through our not-for profit organization called the MIND foundation.
We understand that knowledge is the true differentiator and so with the same commitment, goals, strategies and accountabilities that drive our business we are creatively innovating solutions and support required to take on the toughest knowledge challenges facing the children and youth in rural Africa.
MIND Foundation
MIND Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that is bridging educational gaps for economically disadvantaged children and youth of resource-poor schools and rural communities in Nigeria. MIND organizes free learning programs during out-of-school hours to enable undeserved children and youth gain skills and competencies that would enable them succeed in a knowledge-based, highly competitive, innovative and globalized world.
While maintaining a focus on Leadership, Technology and Hands-on skills, MIND after-school programs emphasize learning by doing and engage students through hands-on projects that combine creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication which are at the core of 21st century learning. Students in the program are able to extend basic class subjects like Math, Science, Arts and Technology to out-of-class activities that equip them with relevant skills. Using our method has helped these kids be aware of their individual uniqueness, creativity and their ability to tackle real problems by overcoming failure and frustration in the process.
