Dual Lateral Log Tool (DLL)

Dual Laterolog Tool is one of the regular open-hole well logging tools. As it features in both focusing and the capability of the resistivity measurement of deep and shallow logging, it is widely used in well logging and prospecting. Dual Laterolog Tool is a constant power dual laterolog tool, in which MCU ensures an  under-a-constant-power measurement, and voltage and current signals are used to simultaneously reflect the change of formation resistivity, and works according to the set power controlling curve. With all these advantages, the tool could measure with a high precision and  a  wide  dynamic  range,  and  is  capable  of  measuring  the  resistivity  of  both  invaded  and undisturbed formations. By adopting the technology of special hybrid circuit, the tool could be directly connected with the telemetry system of SC 560 imaging logging system and 3700, 5700 surface system to perform the logging. It is a new constant power dual laterolog tool with good cost performance.

Dual Laterolog Tool was originally designed to replace 1239 Dual Laterolog Tool used in Atlas 5700 logging system. SC5670XA Dual Laterolog Tool was the earliest one that was connected with SC560 logging system. After on-site application, improvement and sizing, the type B tool was set to be Dual Laterolog Tool
