casing for use
by the Petroleum, Drilling or Corrosion Engineer.
DESCRIPTION
A
suite of tools of different sizes and independent measurements provide
survey coverage for a wide range of tubing and casings, from 1 3/4"
to 13 3/8". Each tool has an array of hard surfaced fingers which
measure very small changes in casing diameter. The individual finger
measurements can be transmitted real-time to surface or stored in
a downhole electronic memory tool for subsequent analysis.
Motorized fingers permit multiple repeat passes and centralizers
provide sufficient centering force even in horizontal wells. An
inclinometer is built into each tool, to provide well deviation
and tool rotation information.
Multi-Finger Imaging software provides detailed analysis and presentations
which include color plots, cross-sections, multi-arm traces, maximum
diameter, re-centering routines, tolls rotation corrections and
3-D visualization images.
APPLICATIONS
- Casing Wear Measurement
- Corrosion Assessment
- Location of Holes, Cracks and Splits
