DESCRIPTION
REMOTE© or Real-time Electronic Monitoring of Operations in Tough Environments, is a theft proof, low-maintenance, low cost, data acquisition unit designed to acquire and store time-stamped pressure and temperature data at remote locations over periods as long as 1 year.
The REMOTE Logger can acquire data simultaneously from up to 22 sensor inputs. The data is stored in nonvolatile memory and downloaded periodically to a small data recorder, and subsequently uploaded to a computer, from which data-reports can be produced and database(s) updated.
The REMOTE Logger was designed specifically to be theft, tamper and weather resistant, meeting the highest zone 1 specifications for intrinsic safety.
The logger consumes very little power and can be left unattended for long periods. Optional backup power is provided by a Solar Panel integrated in the unit. The Logger is equipped with 20 digital input/output lines, 4 conditioned 12-bit analog input channels, 512 KB of flash memory and a real-time clock.
The REMOTE Logger has a sleep mode that shuts down the unit to conserve power. Sleep mode, under software control, reduces current consumption. Normal operating mode can be restored by the real-time clock. The real-time clock/calendar allows date-time stamping for critical data. In addition, the REMOTE logger has a large flash memory, making it ideal for data logging over long periods.
